Stand Up Paddleboard

Stand Up Paddleboarding is one of the fastest growing watersports in the world and we are one of the first schools in the UK to offer lessons.
The South West of England is one of the best locations to discover this new exhilarating sport.

Stand Up Paddleboarding has origins in West Africa and in Polynesia and dates back 3000 years, more modern day roots can be seen in Hawaii with surfers Duke Kahanamoku and Bobby AhChoyand using SUP’s to get a better view in the ocean and sometimes wave riding with them.

People are paddling on rivers, lakes, and oceans all over the world. Stand up paddle surfing is just one small discipline of the sport with the fastest growing areas being on lakes, estuaries and rivers with individuals paddling recreationally, downwind or racing.

Stand Up Paddleboard

We are offering SUP tours aswell as lessons. If you want to learn to ride waves then we can offer you fantastic session at our local beaches. If you are looking for more of an adventure we can go from various North Devon small coves and really explore the rugged beautiful coastline.

Stand Up Paddleboarding does require persiverance, not everyone gets it straight away BUT here at Surfers World, we guarantee you will be paddling by the end of your very first lesson! Who could say fairer than that?

Our pièce de résistance is our Lundy SUP tours. Not only do you get to visit an outstandingly beautiful Island, but you can view it all from the Ocean. It is a sight to behold. Please call or email us for details of price and availability. This is generally a 2 day trip with overnight camping.

We would love to introduce you to this amazing new way of enjoying North Devon’s stunning coastline. The UK is set to become world famous for Stand Up Paddleboarding too, so get down here and take part in this incredible experience!
